Description
Before the Gladstone was polished into boutique respectability, it was something rawer—faded velvet wallpaper, creaking floorboards, and a kind of whispered decadence clinging to the halls. It was in that in-between space I shot her.
She was blonde, confident, and unapologetically glam—wrapped in a slick PVC top and red lingerie that caught the faded light just right. The session was private, charged with a certain energy only film can really catch. Grainy, textured, real.
The hotel hadn’t been renovated yet. The walls still remembered things. So did the floorboards. It felt like shooting in a forgotten theatre—her presence the final act before the curtain fell and the gentrification began.
Somewhere in those frames, I captured more than just a model. I caught a moment of Queen West, suspended in time—before the gloss.
